Description
Fiber Built Umbrellas 7.5 ft. diameter Garden Umbrella has (6) flexible fiberglass ribs, molded nylon joints, hubs and end tips for strength that improves the performance of the umbrella during adverse weather conditions. The Garden Umbrellas has a 2- piece 1.5 in. diameter powder-coated aluminum pole. The cover is a Vinyl coated weave that is durable and partially protects from harmful sun rays. Our innovative fiberglass support rib construction ensures strength, resilience and durability. We have developed a full line of contract quality umbrellas that hold up to the harshest weather conditions - intense sunlight, high winds, salt air and driving rain - and will not decay or lose their shape. Our flexible fiberglass ribs absorb wind gusts without breaking and last four to five times longer than traditional steel or wood ribbed umbrellas. For its inherent strength and longevity, the standard canopies of most of our umbrellas and cabanas are made of marine grade fabric.

This review isn't about the umbrella, but about Amazon's Catalog Quality staff. The seller I purchased from was Amazon. (I gave 5 stars as the incorrect umbrella I did receive and return did seem high quality.)The umbrellas on this page DO NOT HAVE push button tilt. I ordered the teal umbrella with the picture of it tilting and the umbrella I received was not designed to tilt. I contacted Fiberbuilt Umbrellas directly (it is easy to find their webpage) and they told me that an Item model number of 7GCRC-TX-TEAL indicates no tilt. If it does have tilt, the item model number will be 7GCRC-T-TX-TEAL or 7GCRC-TILT-TX-TEAL.Amazon's response to me bringing this to their attention was to offer a refund or an exchange - of the same wrong item.I tried to correct the product description and Amazon just changed it right back the same day.If you think that Amazon's price is really cheap compared to competitors, it is because what you see is not what you get.Did not receive bottom pole on shipment. However, replacement was shipped promptly after contacting Customer Support. Would recommend / buy again.I gave it two stars because no one else had, but would give it three or four. I bought two of these when the price went down to around $35. I like them fine at that price. The fabric is only for partial shade as it is rough woven and the rain will go right through it. The fabric seems very durable and a bit heavy weight. This fabric is good in the wind as the wind also goes through it. I've other Fiberbuilt umbrellas that fall apart in the wind. The ribs do not break but screws come out and other problems make them almost as bad as any metal rib umbrella except I think it may go back together when I get the chance to go over it. I also like the solid pole (not tilt) for windy areas. This is a cute little umbrella. I will put it to the test in a windy spot.Received umbrella a couple of weeks ago for an inherited glass-topped table.....looks very nice but does not offer as much shade as hoped.....handle cranks easily to raise and lower umbrella......liked the idea of fiberglass, however, it's heavy enough to require two people (or one strong person) to lift. Sturdy construction....looking forward to using it for many summers to come.Overall good umbrella. Provides good shading. Spars are solid and hold up in the wind. Nice tilt feature. Pole is solid crank is smooth. Unfortunately crank handle has pitted after only a few months and the pole looking hardware has rusted. If those two items were in better shape I'd rate it a solid 4Likes: Nice fabric, sturdy pole, tilts as advertised, good shade coverNot so good: when raising the umbrella it gets stuck on the section of the pole for the tilt button - I have to reach up and push it over that section. Its alsright...nothing spectacular. It does what its suppossed to do...stops the sun.I have actually had this for a year now and it has held up very well. Still looks like new and opens and closes with ease. Received it promptly and it looks like pictured.
